👉 Learn more about Freddy and his role at Nimble. in this 3-minute read.

👋 Hey Freddy!

Past experience and what brought you to Nimble.?

FC: Design and creativity have always been a part of my profession. I’ve been a creative professional since 2013 — almost a decade now. Got my start in videography and photography and from there I fell into design. I’ve been a designer now for 7 years and really believe design is a special unique way to serve people. That’s why I was drawn to Nimble. because of how we do that through the built environment.

Area(s) of expertise / strongest skillsets applicable for this role:

FC: Design-wise — Bringing strategy and vision to life through logo and Squarespace design.

People skills — I’m a very chill person, when put in a place where I need to present I’m not afraid of that — I can turn on the charisma switch.

The environments in which I thrive have …

FC:

Good music and a lot of coffee. And when I can, I like to make sure there’s a taco place nearby.

What excites you most about this new role and supporting a team dedicated to designing for the built environment?

FC: Making brands come to life because there’s something special about the process that it requires to make that happen. Taking vision and strategy and putting it through a design process. I believe in that process because it produces something beautiful and also a solution. That combination serves the built environment and the people in it.

What motivates me to come into work each day is …

FC: Family. And I also just like the work itself.

Beyond work, I’m really passionate about ...

FC: Music. I love music and enjoy writing music. I don’t always share this, but I’ve been doing it since I was 13. I’m also passionate about helping the people around me remain grounded in who they are while pushing them to be the best version of themselves.

Where are you when you’re not at the studio? Who are you with?

FC: Usually out and about at a coffee shop (East Pole Coffee is a spot of mine and Valor Coffee in Alpharetta). If not I’m usually eating out or doing something with my family (wife Johna and Everly and Archer) or close friends.

Fun facts?

FC:

  • I didn’t learn how to ride a bike until I was 26. And when I did, I learned on an electric bike.

  • I’m very proud of my Filipino/American culture — if you want to get food, we’ll make it happen.

  • If you want to be my friend, offer me coffee, beer or whiskey.

What’s the one thing the Nimble. community should know about you?

FC: In my design work, I want people to feel the care and intentionality behind it. Sometimes, design happens only for the sake of producing something. You can count on me to take the time to slow down and think intentionally about the rationale behind design in order to create a bigger impact.
