Please join us in welcoming Rachel Castle to Nimble. As Project Administrator, Rachel supports information organization, resource development and vendor tracking for the studio, ensuring proactive communication and milestone success from onboarding through project close. Take a few minutes to get to know Rachel in this 3-minute read.

👋 Hey Rachel!

Let’s get right to it.

What brought you to Nimble.?

RC: Initially, the website! In searching for a creative company to transition to moving out of the events world (my background), I was drawn to the small, tight-knit team and the ability to make large contributions to a team working towards common goals.

As Nimble.’s first Project Admin, tell us how you’ll be spending your days in studio.

RC: As I onboard, I’m looking forward to getting up to speed on Nimble.’s processes and creative flow to understand the foundation. From there, I’m excited to take that knowledge and work with the team to serve as the ultimate in-between resource for clients and colleagues.

What is your project management superpower?

RC:

My organization skills! I like breaking things down to ensure everything has a place. I actually enjoy creating folder systems and structures [and yes, my closet is color-coordinated].

If you had 5 minutes to teach someone something, what would it be and why?

RC: How to organize your closet. I’m the resident organizer in my friend circle, on call any time a closet or storage space needs some organizational TLC. I could also give you step-by-step instructions for how to make fancy ramen using instant noodles but otherwise from scratch.

Favorite books, podcasts, workday tunes, lunch spots — or recommendations in general?

RC: I’ve recently been loving Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides followed by Helter Skelter by Curt Gentry and Vincent Bugliosi. Posting book recs on Instagram has become a pastime and right now I’m on a true crime kick. I also religiously listen to X Ambassadors and the following podcasts — Black History for White People, Maintenance Phase and Shrink Chicks.

What’s your absolute fav, number 1 topic of conversation?

RC: I can always talk about breaking down films, specifically the horror/thriller genres or just film theory in general.

Given my background in Mass Comms and the event design industry, I’m always interested in looking at and thinking through productions — how sets are built, the significance of particular camera shots, lighting or musical intentions. The small subtleties that culminate into finished movies, tv shows, plays, etc. fascinate me.

Where are you when you’re not at the studio?

RC: The majority of the time, I’m at home devising a new renovation project for my house. House projects typically include my husband Peter who is luckily handy with woodworking. Quick brag, Peter has built our dining room table, a bathroom vanity, many shelves and also our nightstands. But my list is ever-growing for him to build more!

Fun fact?

RC: I’m obsessed with otters. Specifically sea otters. I did a college internship for Zoo Atlanta where I had the pleasure of feeding Giant River Otters and Asian Small Clawed Otters (ASCOs).

What’s the one thing the Nimble. community should know about you?

RC: Besides the fact that my humor is naturally dry and my hair is naturally pink (😉), I would say that my morning ritual is crucial for me. I try to start each day with tea, meditation, reflection and yoga with Lawrence, my 12-year-old cat, typically by my side.
